DiPietro on waivers (a tad late)

Not sure how I missed this, but the New York Islanders put Rick DiPietro on waivers. If he clears, he'll be sent to Bridgeport of the AHL. While many pundits are saying they find this surprising, I don't — at all. This guy's been the biggest joke — and lord knowns there have been many jokes — in this franchise's history. Will be intriguing to see how this plays out.
